The Oncofertility Consortium is proud to host its 10th Annual Conference, Expanding Access to Emerging and Existing Oncofertility Services, which will be held November 1-3, 2016 in Chicago at Prentice Women’s Hospital.
During the first day of the meeting, the Oncofertility Consortium will host an inaugural Fellow Education Day to educate fellows on fertility preservation options and survivorship care for cancer patients across the reproductive life cycle. The course is primarily targeted towards first and second year fellows in the specialties of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Urology, Pediatric and Adult Hematology/Oncology. Residents in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Urology, or Internal Medicine with a particular interest in oncofertility are also welcome to attend.
The Fellow Education Day will be comprised of didactic presentations given by leaders in the field interspersed with complex clinical cases that will be reviewed in interdisciplinary teams. Participants will be provided with supplementary materials for review prior to course attendance in order to facilitate an interactive “flipped classroom” approach to team based learning.
The Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI) is sponsoring this initiative by providing travel awards of up to $5000 to defray the costs of transportation, lodging, and meeting registration to the first 5-7 REI fellows to register (maximum reimbursement $1000 per fellow). Fellows will be notified within 2 weeks of registration if they have received a travel award.
